Our barbecue chicken with a maple chili sauce is a recipe that you will want to make over and over because it is so good. Grilling is a very healthy cooking method for chicken since chicken grill recipes are not cooked in fat and nor do you have to add any fat to the meat. The delicious maple chili sauce is all you need to add flavor and to keep the chicken succulent. Using a sauce like this is highly recommended for moist chicken breast results. Serve this delicious chicken with a salad like in the photo or with French fries or any kind of potatoes. This is a great springtime or summer meal.
This barbecue chicken recipe is cooked in a delicious sauce made from maple syrup, mustard, chili, and vinegar and the sauce is brushed on which the barbecued chicken is on the grill. Boneless skinless chicken is used in this recipe and it is great served with a basic salad for texture and crunch and perhaps some potato salad on the side. This is a healthy recipe and there are no fatty ingredients in it. You can serve a delicious sour cream-filled baked potato on the side, if you like, to counter this healthiness!
Grilled chicken recipes often use some kind of marinade or sauce to prevent the chicken from drying out and this smoky flavored sauce goes perfectly with the chicken. If the weather is not ideal for firing up the grill, you can make this barbecue chicken recipe in a skillet over a medium heat instead. You will not get the same smoky taste that you would get with a charcoal grill but the chicken will still be flavorful and juicy.
You are sure to love the wonderful basting sauce because the ingredients in it combine so well with one another. The maple syrup adds sweetness, the chili adds some spice, the vinegar adds sharpness, and the mustard adds a strong, pungent flavor. It is important to follow basic hygiene precautions when working with raw poultry, so throw away any unused sauce and do not apply any sauce to the chicken in the final five minutes of cooking time because you will not want to transfer bacteria from the raw chicken into the sauce and then brush it over the cooked chicken.
