This simple chicken wrap can be made on the fly. Pack them in lunches or make them for a light supper. Serve with a light salad and you have a complete meal. This is a tasty recipe that all ages will enjoy. Keep the ingredients on hand so you can whip them together whenever the need arises.
This recipe is really versatile. Add a little salsa to make it into a Mexican chicken wrap; add a little soy sauce to give it an Asian flair. You can use whatever you have on hand for this dish. If chicken is scarce in your chicken, add beef, pork, or turkey. You can use up leftovers easily with this sandwich. Barbecued chicken, roast pork... it all works. Use whatever types of greens you have on hand. Fresh spinach, iceberg lettuce, leaf lettuce, or buttercrunch lettuce all add their own qualities to the wrap, making it new and exciting. Get vine ripened tomatoes if you can to get the most flavor. Store bought tomatoes that may be more bland in flavor can be mixed with the dressing before being added to the wrap to infuse them with taste.
Warm up the leftovers and renew their flavor by sautéing them with the onions and garlic. This imparts new layers of flavors to make your wrap more exciting. The Worcestershire sauce also brings a lot to the party, even if you are using leftover barbecued chicken. This wrap can be enjoyed either warm or cold, depending on your mood. Bring several for an impromptu picnic when you take the kids to the park or when you travel.
