Easy Oven Roasted Chicken with Sauce

Oven roasted chicken recipes are super simple to make, enabling you to provide tasty dinners to your family with a minimum of effort. Choose a recipe that cooks the chicken in its own barbecue sauce and you will hear your family cheering from a mile away.

Chicken is a healthy meat that is easily digestible and offers a lot of nutrition. It is versatile and can be used in many types of recipes. You could actually eat chicken every night and not duplicate your recipes for at least a year unless you chose to.

By adding a barbecue sauce to your roasted chicken recipe, you add a lot of flavor. The sweetness of the brown sugar, the tang of the lemon juice and vinegar and the rich flavor of the ketchup and mustard help create a well-rounded sauce that everyone will love. The sauce can be used on chicken with the skin on or chicken that has had the skin removed. Removing the skin is a healthier alternative, though for longer cooking times you may want to leave it on to keep the meat moist. If you want the sauce on the meat itself but you need to cook it for long period of time, you could remove the skin during the last ten minutes of cooking and apply the sauce at that point.

Serve this roasted chicken with potatoes, rice or pasta and a side of fresh vegetables for a light, tasty meal. This is a recipe that is easy to make for one person or a whole crowd.
