A Creamy Tarragon Roasted Chicken Recipe

 
 
This is a quick and easy baked chicken recipe. Tarragon, mustard and sour cream combine perfectly to give a delicious chicken coating and sauce. Tarragon, also called dragon's wort or dragon herb, has a sweet, aromatic anise flavor. French tarragon is very rich and Russian tarragon is slightly milder.

Country Chicken with Tarragon

 
 
Ingredients -
 
4 chicken breasts, no bones or skin
¼ cup dry white wine
⅓ cup sour cream
2 tablespoons dried tarragon
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
Salt and black pepper, to taste
 
Preparation:
 

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine the mustard, tarragon, sour cream and wine.

Season the chicken with the salt and pepper, and then arrange them in a baking dish.

Pour the wine mixture over them and bake for about 35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.

Serve the chicken with rice or mashed potato, with the sauce from the baking dish poured over the top.
